On Wednesday, April 13, the Washington State Board of Health will be discussing the TAG’s recommendation to NOT mandate COVID shots for K-12 school children. This will be a Virtual Meeting via ZOOM Webinar from 9:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Public Comment time: 9:30am — 11am (you can sign up to give oral public comment when you register for the meeting. NOTE that if you use the dial-in option, you cannot speak. If you sign up to speak, attend via the Zoom app)
Discussion and vote on adopting, or dismissing, the TAG’S recommendation: 11:15am – 12:15pm
- If the board votes to adopt the TAG’s recommendation, nothing more will happen. For now.
- If the board votes to dismiss the TAG’s recommendation, they will move forward with the rulemaking process that is required by law. This process has several steps, but could result in a Covid shot mandate by the fall. Read about the BOH’S rulemaking process HERE.
